1. Contract and activate Product Catalog first
Product Catalog must be contracted and activated for your environment before you can use it. When it is not active, the Product Catalog section and catalog management controls are not available in the agent panel.
If you need access, contact support to arrange the product activation for your environment. Once it is active, you can create catalogs and assign them to your agents.
2. How Product Catalog works
A product catalog is an environment-level resource, not a resource limited to one agent. This lets you maintain approved product information once and reuse it across the agents that need it.
Each agent can have one environment product catalog assigned. The catalog contains one or more public sources, each with a rule that explains when the agent should use it.
3. Create and assign a catalog
Open Catalogs from the top area of the panel and choose Create product catalog. Enter a clear name and, if needed, a short stable ID. Aizy keeps the ID unique within your environment.
Return to Product Catalog for the selected agent, choose the catalog in Bot product catalog and save the selection. You can then open that catalog to manage its sources.
- Use a name that explains the catalog content, such as Main catalog, Services or Accessories.
- Assign the same catalog to agents that should work from the same approved product information.
- Use a separate catalog when an agent must not refer to another product range.
4. Add controlled catalog sources
Select Add product to create a source. Give it a name, enter the public HTTPS URL of the catalog page and describe when the agent should use that source.
Select Auto-generate to create a controlled preview from the public page. Review the generated result before relying on it, then save the source.
Use this source when the user asks about our office chairs, their characteristics or the available models. Do not use it for desks or delivery questions.
5. Refresh and maintain the catalog
Choose a catalog refresh interval when the public information changes regularly, or leave refresh disabled when you prefer to update it manually. You can request a refresh for an individual source or for the catalog sources together.
Use the source list to search, review, edit or delete a source. Review the preview after every important change to the public catalog page.
6. How an agent uses the catalog in a conversation
Aizy selects catalog sources only when their use rule matches the user’s request. The agent receives the selected source preview as context to answer product-related questions.
Keep the source rules specific and the public pages current. The agent should not invent products, availability or other catalog information that is not present in the selected source.
7. Check before using a Product Catalog
- Product Catalog is contracted and active for the environment.
- The correct catalog is assigned to the agent.
- Every source uses a public HTTPS URL and has a specific use rule.
- Generated previews have been reviewed and sources are kept current.
